A news anchor or news presenter is a journalist who educates others to the issues that continuously change and shape the world, whether locally, nationally or internationally usually through a medium such as TV. They may also interview professionals who have opinions or facts relating to a story. Working as a television news anchor allows a person to consistently be on camera and viewed by audiences. Generally, a degree in the field related to journalism, mass communication or broadcasting is recommended but there is no specific academic requirement. To be a good news presenter one needs to have certain important skills and aspects. As this not only involves good reading practice but also needs personal contributions. Some of the key skills needed in order to be a successful news anchor are excellent verbal and written skills, ability to engage audiences and interact with reporters and guests, persistence, physical stamina, good reading and listening skills, improvisation, teamwork, interviewing skills, knowledge of social media, professional image and attire. Once they become well versed, they can be absorbed by many reputed firms.

A news presenter has two possible Jobs- TV News Anchor or Presenter 2, radio News Presenter. NA News Presenter must be suitable and qualified to do the task. Speaking of English and Communicative English should be good. The Job depends on Fluency, Language Command and Knowledge of the subject/Topic. A news presenter is to be a formal, disciplined, strong and firm in communication, balanced in opinion as well as highly informed about topics of politics, social matters, education, economics and others. Basically, general awareness is needed. Formal mass media education, electronic media education or degree can increase possibilities of getting a job in news houses. You can be a good news presenter with good quality voice and impressive tone. The accent of the language also matters because most of the channels in India are Indians and need Indian Languages.
