    During choice filling you fill colleges according to your choice then on the basis of AIR colleges are allotted, student with better AIR will be allotted first and accordingly. For Aerospace at IIT Bombay the cutoff (closing Rank) is around 1500 so one should have better than 1500 but it deviates little bit each year like in 2014 it was around 1800 in 2015 it was around 1600 etc.

    You have to secure under 100 rank for the department you have inquired about because it is the second most demanding branch after CS in IITB.

    If your rank is good then you get your chossed. And if rank is high then it is on depend on rank only.
