NIFT entrance exam pattern is three-tiered in its format for B.Des and M.Des course admissions. As part of the NIFT entrance exam 2019, candidates need to first appear for Creative Ability Test (CAT) which is followed by a General Ability Test (GAT). The final admission round for BDes course is a Situation Test and that for MDes is GD/PI round. On the other hand, for BFTech course admissions candidates need to appear for GAT only whereas for MFTech and MFM programmes candidates need to appear for GAT and GD/PI admission round.

    Hi Renuka,
You need to appear in the entrance exam for getting admission in NIFT. To perform good in the examination, I will suggest you to solve all the previous year problems and also give some online tests as well. No, you can do it by self-study also. It is totally on your interest to join a coaching or not.
    Best of luck.
