What's the best time period to prepare for UPSC?
I am in BA 1st-year and my ultimate dream is to be an IAS. Will it be good if I start preparing for it from my beginning of college life. If yes, can you provide some tips.

Time is a precious asset for aspirants aiming for UPSC prelims exam. Effective time management is a stepping-stone towards your success that comes when you complete the syllabus on time and maintain regular revisions for perfection. Staying focused on effective time management and the study methodology during preparations will immediately bring many benefits to you. Cracking the exams strictly demands a clear understanding of chapters and sections from a candidate:
- conventional subjects like History, Polity, Geography, and General Science. - contemporary topics from Indian Economy, Environment, and Ecology, General Awareness, Science...more

In my opinion, if you want to prepare for UPSC or any other competitive exams later, you can pursue a BA in Political Science, Economics, History, or Sociology. Since their syllabus is heavily equipped with GK, Indian and world history, public policy, public administration, Indian and world politics, it'll be easier for you to strengthen your base.
