There is a difference between 'approved' and 'affiliation'. Affiliation means the institute in which you are studying will impart degree issued by the institute it is affiliated to. Whereas, approval means the courses of a particular institute is approved from any autonomous body such as AICTE or UG

Affiliation: It means you will study in that particular Institute, where degrees will be issued from where the institute itself is affiliated. Approval: It means the courses of a particular Institute is approved from any autonomous body for example AICTE or UGC.
