The difference of taking any degree in India and abroad is the value of education in terms of its application. Just to highlight it how, 400 P.hd holders in India are applying for the job of a peon. 70% of engineers today are unemployable.
While IITs and IIMs prepare you well but these are handfuls. On the other hand a degree like M.tech from abroad if chosen wisely will change the whole outlook and approach towards learning because you research, work hard on originality of your assignment, take internships and network directly with the industrialists to present your ideas. So you definitely prepare for life.

Dear Rakesh, the major difference is the international exposure and the overall personality development keeping aside the world-class education system and infrastructure. However if you get through the like of IIT there is not much to worry about as IIT degree is highly valued over the world. Further countries in the west are technology more advanced so you will have the exposure required.
