What's the difference between IT and computer engineering

    There is no big difference in IT and computer science. IT is only for software part but computer science deals both (software & Hardware) parts.
    As a software engineer, I want to suggest that if you don't like hardware then go for IT.

    There are no such big differences between IT and CS.
    IT works on DB, Networking, and Infrastructure etc. whereas CS deals more with programming and development.

    Hello harshita, there is not much difference in IT and CSE. Most of the top-notch institutes have either CSE or IT but not both. This clearly signals that the difference between the two branches is not significant enough to warrant their simultaneous presence on a campus, at least in the eyes of the top engineering colleges of the country. And the colleges that do offer both IT and CSE, the differences in the course structure are minimal.
    If you have to choose between IT and CSE and have both options in hand, it would be wise to decide it on the basis of the reputation and standing of the college rather than the branch. Top colleges to
