Aeronautical is where you study the various forces that act on an airborne vehicle in the Earths atmosphere. Also, do note the point that nautical is a term used to measure the speed of the wind. So, aeronautical deals with various forces in detail which act on a vehicle which is airborne. Mostly, you can see that only three dimensional forces act on an aeroplane. Hence we mostly will be considering the parameters in three dimensions. Aerospace is where you get to study aeronautical first and space next. Space doesn't have an atmosphere like Earth which has drag, viscosity, density, so on and so forth. But in space, you encounter altog...more

The main difference between these two is that aeronautical engineering is a specialisation within aerospace engineering. Aeronautical engineering is concerned with aircraft, while aerospace engineers may also work with weapons or spacecraft. To put in simple, aeronautical engineering deals with components within the Earth's atmosphere while aerospace engineering deals with outside the earth's atmosphere. Aeronautical engineers specialize in the design and development of planes and other aircraft and possess expertise in fields such as aeroacoustics or fluid dynamics. Aerospace engineers may develop new technologies for aerospace crafts...more
