    Both are dignified courses and can offer excellent career opportunities .
    1. Financial engineering is the application of mathematical frameworks to decisions about saving, investing, borrowing, lending and managing risk in the fields of investment management in general.
    After successful completion of Financial Engineering program one can find excellent opportunities that are prevailing in the banking and insurance sector, engineering consultancies and security trading. The pay scale will be purely based on the caliber and performance. In addition to other allowances, you may get high salaries of about Rs. 50000/- to 60000/- per month.

    Financial Engineering is highly mathematical and statistical oriented. If you have strong background in Mathematics (particularly differential and integral calculus) and Advanced Statistics (Multi-variate Data Analysis), you can choose Financial Engineering. Unfortunately, the scope for Financial Engineering is limited, because of prolonged economic recession. The recession is attributed to some of these Financial Engineers who worked in reputed Companies and brought down the global economy (though they alone are not the main cause).
