    The current union minimum for a SAG-AFTRA actor is $956 + 10% for 8 hours. So for a 12-hour day, the least a day-player can be paid is $1,972. The special effects coordinator on the same film will typically make $4050 per hour, so $700 for a 12-hour day. The visual effects supervisor might make $5000/week, or $1,000 for the day. The top VFX supervisors in the business might get $10K per week, or $2K for the same day, basically equal to the actors union minimum.
