What salary can I get in Hollywood movies after doing animation and VFX course?

The special effects coordinator on the same film will typically make $4050 per hour, so $700 for a 12-hour day. The visual effects supervisor might make $5000/week, or $1,000 for the day. The top VFX supervisors in the business might get $10K per week, or $2K for the same day, basically equal to the actors union minimum. On the other hand, a special effects or visual effects artist often works many more days or weeks than an actor and thus makes more money overall, but I wouldn't call that higher paid. In the same year, the lowest-paid ten percent of earners reported by the BLS made an annual wage of $35,010 or less, while the highest-earning ten percent earned a wage of $118,890 per year or more. VFX teams work for production and post production phases of a movie and may have hundreds of days work. They will not be unpaid if their scene is not being shot that week, as actors arent. Their daily rate will mostly be less than the actors. Lets compare some results. Actor A works for 3 days on the movie (one in July and two in August three weeks later). At, say, $1000 per day the actor has earned $3k for the movie. A skilled VFX worker B at, say, $500 per day works 200 days on the movie and earns $100k. Actor A pays 10% to their agent so they have $2700 left, out of which they pay their accountant, taxes, union dues, training, gym and grooming costs as well as pay for networking, without which they won't get another job. The VFX worker B still has $100k out of which they pay taxes. All the best.
