What sections of the GRE are scored?

The scored sections of GRE are Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Analytical Writing. While the Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning sections contribute to the final score, the Analytical Writing section is scored separately. Unscored sections, such as an experimental or research section, may also be present but do not factor into your final score.
