It's great to hear you didn't mention you want to do engineering instead. You can go for courses of NIIT, DUCAT, etc. They will introduce you to the world of IT better than any engineering college.

I think you should first focus on the entrance exam for you dream college for getting admission there. Side by side, you can join some online courses at HP online courses for getting some benefit of this year.
