Therefore, in order to succeed as Humanities faculty, candidates require following competencies: (a) Core competency in area of specialisation in Humanities (b) Self Learning (c) Continuous Personal Development (d) Teaching skills (e) Effective Communication (f) Critical Thinking (g) Quantitative Reasoning (h) Scientific Reasoning (I) Information Technology Literacy (j) Understanding Social structure and responsible social character (k) Self belief
    These competencies can be developed by self-learning, participating in college and university level leadership building

    Hello,
    If you aspire to be a humanities faculty in India, your focus should be on the particular field of humanities. By a specific field I mean, Humanities is a vast area of study and no one can learn 100% of everything. But yes, a candidate can muster 100% of a niche field of study.
    One should make his/her foundation right and strong right from the first year. All the subjects should be very thorough and then after initial years, a candidate should be able to answer the filed he wants to pursue. There are many fields open for a candidate aiming to be a college coach for humanities.
