what should an engineer do MSC or MTech ? I am Getting a chance of doing Msc in Scientific Computing in which 1 year triaing will be at cdac

i will do my mtech or msc from india only . so can any one please guide me about that . if i join msc than will it be my loss of not doing mtech and mtech will fetch me a better career of msc

    hello adarsh . don't worry . there nothing to confuse about these things.
    frankly speaking both the programs are equivalent but the thing is that public preception and the perception amongst the students is that mtec is better than MS.
    but u need to think yourself in which way u want to go.
    MTech by definition is a course program, where the emphasis is on advanced coursework spanning various areas,
    MS by definition is a research program, where the emphasis is on doing ORIGINAL work in one particular area.
    MS coursework is typically chosen to provide knowledge in your chosen area of research.

    MSc and MTech both are postgraduate degree according to our education system. the difference is that MTech is PG in Engg ie MSc is 3+2 and 4+2/3+2+2. So obvious MTech is better.
