You must have atleast 90% in 12th boards if you are general. If you belong to other backward category, then it will be a little less. For NIT's you must be mains cleared atleast. in 12th u should have 75%+ and JEE advance cutoff varies year to year

no. it is not sured after exceeding the cutoff. you should have till approx 6 thousand rank in general. then it is sured u can get IIT. but branch is still not confirmed.
