For getting a seat in the NITs you have to score marks in the JEE Mains and not in the Advance paper, and it depends upon your rank that in which NIT you will get the admission.

If you get under 30000 rank in JEE Mains you will get NIT. If you score 10000 rank in JEE Advanced, you will get IIT.

For the lower NITs core branches like mechanical, civil you need to score in between 140-160. And for the branches like CSE you need to score in between 160-180. and for the average NITs core branches you need to score 200-220.

There is nothing to do of JEE Advance with NITs. According to your rank you will get NITs. Try to get more than 97 percentile in Mains for good NITs.

JEE Advance Marks is not required for admission in NIT's. You need to get good marks in JEE Main and that will assure your admission in NIT's.

Hello, As per your mentioned question, there are no IITs which give admission just by opting JEE Mains exams, but for NIT, you have to clear JEE Mains. You have to clear both JEE Mains as well as JEE Advanced. Also, you have to score well in JEE Mains to get a good NIT.
