Hi Faraz,
I think you are referring to scholarships. If yes, Scholarships are awarded on various criteria. The norms vary for different universities and programs.
Generally they are as followed:-
Merit scholarships: On the basis of overall academic achievement.

i mean merit scholarship.... my JEE score is 97 and 12th result may a round 96-97 %
