What should be my preparation strategy to clear IIT and get a good college?

IIT is not a rocket science. You should join a good coaching, do your homework on time, study 7 hours everyday and be confident.

I would like to suggest you to go for a coaching class if you are serious about clearing your IIT-JEE exams. With my personal experience the suggestion would be Catalyser.
