Get acquainted with the syllabus of the exam for which you are going to appear. Collect study material. SSC basically, asks questions from the very general academic subjects. Timetable. Study Accordingly. Adopt Shortcut tricks. Take online help. Previous year papers. Prepare short notes.

There are 4 sections: English, Maths, GK and Reasoning. Therefore, try to study Hindu newspaper for GK, R. D for maths (class 9th and 10th), English (word power made easy) and for reasoning, M. K. Pandey.
