What should be my preparation strategy to qualify JEE Mains exam?

You should keep your basic concepts clear and try new/slightly tricky problems. JEE Mains will test your basic knowledge of PCM. You will get some straight forward questions, but mostly trickier ones. You should try solving hard problems as it will help you think in various new approaches.

What actually happening is many students are focusing on 12th board and not on JEE exams so as they appear for JEE Mains, they don't score well. In all these so called tough examination, you have to do smart work rather then the hard work and this is the main important thing that is needed in all the competitive exams. So, do smart work rather then the hard work.

For the preparation of JEE Mains and other examinations conducted by CBSE, you need to be very thorough with the syllabus of NCERT of standard 11th and 12th. Apart from that, you also need to solve a good number of MCQs from a standard book.
