What should be my preparation strategy to qualify JEE Mains exam?

Hello Silija, It is recommended that you can join an engineering coaching institute as it increases the probability of qualifying the entrance examination. These institutions provide a proper guidance to the student. They also take periodic tests for the student to assess his strong and weak zones and the student can focus more on his weak zones. Though, it isn't mandatory to join those institutes and there are many students who have qualified even without joining any engineering coaching institute, I firmly believe that joining those institutes is recommended. Without the support of those institutes, it will be tougher for a student to qualify in JEE Mains. However, as you wish to appear for the JEE entrance examination without coaching, you should solve previous years IIT-JEE/AIEEE papers. Also, solve as many model test papers as well. Apart from IIT-JEE and AIEEE, you should also appear for the various state level entrance examinations (OJEE for Odisha, COMEDK for Karnataka, EAMCET for Andhra Pradesh/Telangana, etc.) These examinations work as backup, if things do not go as planned in IIT-JEE/AIEEE. You should do the smart work and not the hard work by reading all the irrelevant topics that only carry 1 question in the whole paper and that is also not sure for that.

Hi, As you are asking for the strategy, so the main thing is smart work. What actually happening is many students are focusing on 12th board and not on JEE exams so as they appear for JEE Mains they didnt score good. The only thing is to do NCERT fully then go fpr guides and solve their questions and at last solve the recent 10 years questions of JEE Mains. Best of luck.

For the preparation of JEE Mains and other examinations conducted by CBSE, you need to be very thorough with the syllabus of NCERT of standard 11th and 12th. Apart from that, you also need to solve a good number of MCQs from a standard book.

For cracking JEE Mains exam, you need some best study strategies: 1. Understand each topic clearly. 2. Do smart work and not hard work. 3. Make smart and good notes. 4. Revise all the formulas. 5. Solve as many as previous year question papers.
