To qualify the UGC NET Exam, you must have to get minimum cutoff marks in the subject for which you appear in the exam. The minimum cut off marks will depend on various factors like the number of aspirants who appear in the exam, difficulty level of the exam etc. If you are planning to appear in UGC

From my knowledge, you need to only reach the cut off marks based on your category to clear NET. More the marks, the better it would be. If you have NET certificate, it would be easy to get a lecture job.
