I would advise you to go online, you might get some aptitude temporary test to improve your verbal English, rather than focusing on books. -
If you are are going to any coaching classes then there is no need to read any external books. Just refer your class notes and try to clear out your concepts especially that of grammar. -
If you are going to a coaching centre, first complete their study material. You can also take Arun Sharma books. They all start from basics. First complete level 1 questions of all the chapters, then move on to level2. The idea is to stick with one material and complete it rather than hovering around with too many materials and confuse yourself. There is one good book for maths tricks, forgot the name. Will tell you as soon as I remember? Hope this will help.
