If you are looking for the upper branches then your rank should be less than twenty five thousand. Basically there are two groups and different categories which indicates branch and fee structure respectively. If you are looking for main campus Vellore then your rank should not be more than 99,000. Admission through management quota is also possible under certain parameters.

Rank in VIT to get admission should be 90,000 so you can get admission in VIT from the 6th category as well. There are various categories as well with each category admission fees go high. First category closed till 15,000 rank and you can get CSE till 9000 rank and IT till 11000 rank but there are 2nd category as well if you want CSE but you have to pay more for that.
