For the first day, it's your zero lecture, you can carry a notebook with pen for note down of general information about the courses. Next onwards you need to carry your laptops for your BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) classes. -

On the first day, you would have a zero lecture. You will get to know the course criteria for different subjects by the faculty members. They will also let you know the software required for the course. All the best. -
You can just carry a notebook with yourself for the first day. There will be introduction sessions with the faculty members basically on the first day. Still you can note few points which will be helpful for you in the future. -
