What should I do after completing B.Tech(ECE)?

After BTech ECE you have following options :(a) Job in Electronics, Telecom or IT industry. Before opting for IT you must evaluate your programming skills and also IT industry has now showing signs of slow decline. In IT you will complete with IT and CS grads. Most of ECE jobs in core sector are of operations and Maintenance. If you want to take up design work then. you better to MTech and specialize. (b) If you are not technically oriented then go for MBA.(c) You may appear for Civil Services Examination or join Defence Services or Paramilitary forces. (d) You may appear for GATE to seek job in PSU ((e) You can appear for PO examination to join Public Sector Banks.If you share your core area of interest, better advice can be offered.

You may go for M.Tech. For doing M.Tech, you should have at least 55 % in B.Tech/BE and a valid score of GATE. You can appear in exams such as IES, IRS, IAS IPS, SSC PO, Airport Authority of India, State government. And Center government. Exams, PSU, Army, Air force, Navy, Teaching etc. If you don't want to carry this field then you can do MBA in any specializations of your interest. You should have cleared any one entrance test ( such as CAT/MAT/XAT/NMAT/CMAT/GMAT/NEST ) accepted by various colleges and should also have minimum of 45% to 55% in your Bachelors (any stream) for admission in the same. Admission in MBA is done via two modes- either through an entrance exam or direct admission which is based on merit basis or management quota basis. The top schools of India mostly use some entrance tests score to provide admission.
