What should I do after completing B.Tech in electrical engineering?

    Hello Samir,
    You can pursue M.Tech or MBA. But, after completing electrical engineering, it would be easy for you to get a government job in NTPCs or state electrical board, so keep trying for that as well.

    Engineering is such a course after which a person can opt for a job and if you are well deserved, then excellent companies will take you. You can also opt for higher studies like M.Tech or MS. You can opt for MBA as well. The field you choose are full of opportunities.
    If you want a job, then there are wider opportunities like:
    1. Design engineer
    2. Quality control engineer.
    3. Process and manufacturing engineer.
    You can work in atomic power plants, thermal power plants. Job opportunities are ample in both private and public sector like railways, civil aviation and utility companies.

    You have option of job or higher studies after B.Tech in electrical engineering.
    1. Job: Electrical engineers are employed in operations and maintenance roles in manufacturing and services industry. Electrical engineers are also employed in electrical power generations such as atomic power plants, hydel or thermal power plants.
    Electrical engineers are also employed in power distribution and services companies. Job opportunities for electrical engineers are available in both private and public sector like railways, civil aviation, electricity board and utility companies, electrical design and consultancy firms.

    After completing BE/B.Tech, you can opt for any of the following options:
    1. Job.
    2. Higher education.
    If you wish to pursue higher education, you must take any of the following exams:
    1. GATE
    2. IES
    3. IAS
    If you are interested in working in the core field, teaching, research or development, then opt for M.Tech.
