The best option would be to opt B.E or B.Tech through lateral entry and to join the premier institutes. You can even opt for LEET examination.

As you said you have already done the Diploma. So, from job's point of view, it would be a starting point for you. It will give you a vocational qualification which would be an asset for You. You can enter the industry after Diploma and can enter good salary after years of experience.

You can do B.Tech in civil engineering after your Diploma in civil by lateral entry in second year B.Tech in civil engineering course and remember that it has a good scope now.

After completing Diploma in engineering you can do Degree in Civil engineering. Op colleges are: DTU, BITS
