So, it depends upon you either you can get jobs from a reputed company or you can go for higher studies.

Go for GATE preparation If you really interested in engineering If not then go for govt exam preparations.

If you have done your B.Tech from a reputed college, then you will get a job in campus placement. But, if you haven't got any job yet, then apply for other jobs. If it also don't work, then start preparing for GATE or just change your field, get in banking or general competition.
