You have to necessarily target the top 30 B Schools In India. These B Schools go by the CAT percentile. Your endeavor should be to score a minimum of 99 percentile in the CAT exam, to stand a realistic chance, of making it to these B Schools. Your MAT score is on the lower side. MAT scores will get you an entry only in the second tier B Schools across India

    Hello Shivam,
I would like to tell you that your MAT score is pretty okay. You can get decent colleges in this score. I would not suggest you to drop an year and prepare for the exam instead get into a good B-school and do well there. It will be equivalent to drop an year and getting into a good B-school and then doing well.

Your MAT score seems to be on the lower side. However, since admissions are relative to scores obtained by students who have applied for MBA, you could have a chance to get admission in a college of your choice. In case you are not able to manage admission in a course/college of your choice based on these scores then you should reappear for the CAT/MAT.
