You have to necessarily target the top 30 B Schools In India. These B Schools go by the CAT percentile. Your endeavor should be to score a minimum of 99 percentile in the CAT exam, to stand a realistic chance, of making it to these B Schools. Your MAT score is on the lower side. MAT scores will get you an entry only in the second tier B Schools across India

Hello Shivam,
I would like to tell you that your MAT score is pretty okay. You can get decent colleges in this score. I would not suggest you to drop an year and prepare for the exam instead get into a good B-school and do well there. It will be equivalent to drop an year and getting into a good B-school and then doing well. -
Your MAT score seems to be on the lower side. However, since admissions are relative to scores obtained by students who have applied for MBA, you could have a chance to get admission in a college of your choice. In case you are not able to manage admission in a course/college of your choice based on these scores then you should reappear for the CAT/MAT.
