What should I do for a bright future?

I took a 1-year drop for the preparation for JEE Mains but haven't got good scores in it.

Hello Avinash, Firstly, do not get worried. Engineering is not the end of the world. In fact unemployment amongst is highest. It's a blessing that you could not clear JEE Mains. Now, select a stream that excited you. Commerce, fine arts, etc. Do graduation and PG. You will never regret. Best wishes
