What should I do? I am a 3rd year engineering student. I don't want to pursue engineering anymore.

It is always preferable to choose a profession of your area of interest to excel in career. If you are not interested in engineering and sure about interests, then you must change your profession.

Change over to either maths or chemistry to pursue your interests.
