What should I do? I got 49.8% in 12th board exams. I select to drop this year after scoring 220 marks in JEE Mains.

    I don't see how dropping a year will help you. You will need a minimum of 75% to be eligible for JEE and BITSAT. Check with your school and CSBE for improvement exams and related conditions. You can also check other colleges and polytechnics which can accept your score and resume your studies.
