If you have done BSc in microbiology then you must go for MSc and PhD. to enter into the field of research. Otherwise after MSc. you can prepare for UGC Net or CSIR NET exam which gives opportunities for Junior Research Fellowship and by clearing these exams you can get into research field. For CSIR

Yes there are options available. Options are there in teaching and some of the research institutes dealing with Biotech and microbiology have vacancylies for research fellowship after BSc. itself.
