What should I do this year as I am planning to join a coaching institute for the preparation of CAT exam in 2018?

The best you can do is to just keep your focus on the preparation for CAT from all the angles. In doing so, you can join some extra classes for personality development and for improving your communicative ability, both verbal and non-verbal. -

I would suggest you should pay full attention to the preparation of CAT. As cracking CAT is not an easy task.
But if you are really willing to go for some courses, options are SAP, Digital marketing, computer programming, IBM, etc.
