What should I do to become a lieutenant?

Lieutenant are basically in the army. So, I assume you want to join army. Now if you are 12 class pass out student, then you can apply for NDA Exam conducted by UPSC twice a year. If you are a graduate, then you can apply for different entries like CDSE, JAC, NCC ENTRY, UES. -

To join the Indian Armed Forces, you will have to appear for NDA exam conducted by UPSC. The examination is conducted two times in a year. You need to clear your higher secondary education from a recognised board of education like CBSE, ICSE or equivalent in order to be eligible for the exam.
