First Step is taking Science in class 12th. PCM is compulsory subjects to give any Engineering Entrance Exams after class 12th. Or, if you are in class 10th right now, you can also choose Polytechnic i.e. Diploma in Engineering in CSE or IT. It is of 3 years. After completing this, you can get direct entry in 2nd year BE /B.Tech.Now, Step no.2:Taking admission in good or very good or government engineering college, as per your respective rank. You should either choose computer science (CS) Engineering or Information Technology (IT) Engineering. After completing BE /B.Tech in CSE or IT, you can be a software engineer or IT engineer or a developer or network administrator or system analyst, etc. There are variety of job roles available for CSE/IT engineers. But, it also depends on your interest and caliber to get selected for respective jobs or roles. Also, for becoming software engineer, you should have interest in coding. There is also another way to become a software developer. By doing BCA i.e. Bachelor of Computer Applications and after it, you can also do MCA for more expertise in your subjects. You should take a degree like B.Tech or BCA.
