Hi,
Software Engineering or B.C.A + M.C.A is the correct path that you need to pick for being a Software Developer.
You can choose Science stream (Physics, Chemistry and Maths) in class XII and then go for either of the above suggested.
Apart from these, you can also take up some private courses
