    Hello Dear, Preparing UPSC you will find it very interesting. Do revise all the topics of History, Geography, Political Science that you have read in your school. Now come to the current affairs section. Do read some newspaper, read the important exam oriented issues. This will definitely help you to score a good mark in UPSC.

    Pursue B.A. History or BA+LLB through correspondence if possible. It would help you in your preparation for UPSC exam. Join a good coaching and study for at least 7-8 hours daily. Practice sample papers and talk to other students preparing for the same, share tips with them and they will share theirs.

    To become an IAS officer, you are required to appear in civil services examination conducted by UPSC. The candidate desiring to be IAS must hold a degree of any of the recognized universities.

    Hi Kulwinder,
    Following are the important steps you should follow before you finalize a subject as your Optional.
    First go through the list of all the optional subjects. Read the names of the subjects again and again for 15 minutes.
    Now go back to your school and college days. Think about your favorite subjects then. Think hard in which subject you excelled, in which subject you showed more interest, in which subject you got good marks.
    Now come to the present. See which areas of news you are more interested in. Think which topics of GS you like more. Some people like history, some like polity/sociology and keep reading those books as if t
