What should I do to get a good placement from colleges like LPU as I will be joining LPU this year?

LPU expects from students : Sincerity: The sincerity towards learning is most important from students point of view. They must maintain the required attendance and reasonably good CGPA Hard work: Believe you me, there is no shortcut to hard work. The hard work of formative years forms the base of performing smart work when you have expertise in your trade. Opportunity : The students must always be on lookout for opportunities, whichever are there in the campus. Be it internship or live project or any other project. Networking: The onus of forming a good professional network is on students, the relations in industry matter, and students must try to network while in any project, assignment, internship etc. All these things boil down to having great placements. LPU provides students with maximum number of great opportunities with 800 plus companies coming to campus for recruitment ! In my 16 years of experience as an educator I have not seen any College/university as focused as LPU in organizing every factor discussed earlier and coming out successful in placements in such large numbers. As LPU alumni, I would suggest just work hard and maintain good CGPA. Moreover, 80+ companies that recruit from IITs and NITs also recruit from LPU. As a general rule for placements, a lot more will depend upon your own hard work, communication & presentation skills and overall preparation. If you work hard in the course and learn as much as you can, any company visiting the campus would be happy to hire you. However, you must not neglect polishing your communication skills as well, because companies will check that in their interviews.
