Hi Rajiv, First of all don't worry regarding the degree from IIPM, as this institute was not in news when you passed out. The Civil Service Examination is organized by UPSC every year to recruit candidate for IAS, IPS etc. Academic Qualification: The candidate must hold a bachelor's degree in any field from a well known college or university. You can pursue graduation in any stream. Candidates who have appeared at an examination the passing of which would render them educationally qualified for the Commission's examination but have not been informed of the results as also the candidates who intend to appear at such a qualifying examination

Selection Process The Civil Services Exam is a paper based test and consists of two successive stages: (i) CSAT (Objective type) comprising 2 exams : General Studies (ii) Civil Services Main Examination (Written and Interview) CSAT-Prelim: -Paper 1 is on General Studies This includes areas like Indian National Movement, Indian Polity, Basic Economic Understanding, Geography While the dynamic part includes current affairs, GK and has no proper definition and syllabus making quite vast. -Paper 2 includes mathematics, reasoning, analytical ability, and interpersonal skills. Unlike paper 1 which has a static part, paper 2 is dynamic in many sense. The Main exam will consist of : Essay Modern Indian Language, English General Studies-I General Studies-II General Studies-III General Studies-IV, Optional Subject Paper –I Optional Subject Paper-II Hope this information helps.
