    Central University of Himachal Pradesh is a state university which was established in the year 2009. The University offers education in three-year full time under-graduate courses in B.Sc, B.Voc, and BA. honors.
    It also offers Post Graduate Programs in Arts (M.A.), Science (M.Sc.), Social Work (MSW) and Management (MBA) in five major specializations.
    The application for admission to the courses has to be filled online through the official website of Central University of Himachal Pradesh.
    Admission to Bachelor's degree (UG) is based on merit in 10+2 examination.

Yes, there is a placement cell in Central University of Himachal Pradesh (CUHP) to provide placements to M.Sc Bioinformatics students as well as internships. Though the Bioinformatics industry does not have major company names exhaustively listed, the overall placement report of the university shows that there have been 513 passed out students in total; with 102 of them being taken in with a median package of 2.75 LPA, in 2023 in the case of PG (2-year) courses. On the Centre for Computational Biology & Bioinformatics, the page also states about the Placements in Bioinformatics and this is an active place.

The Central University of Himachal Pradesh BSc admission is subject to a valid score in the CUET. The university prepares merit lists based on the scorec obtained in the CUET exam.
