What should I do to get certified for the post of custom officer? What are the different hurdles to be passed in order to achieve it?

Hi Harshita! In order to assume a role of custom office, you should get into Indian Revenue Service (IRS). To get into IRS, you need to clear your civil service examination which is conducted by UPSC. The eligibility criterion for the examination is graduation from a recognised University. The candidate must be of 21-30 years of age. The Civil Service Examination comprises of an aptitude test (CSAT), a main examination and personality test.The aptitude test comprises of sections like Comprehension, Interpersonal skills, Logical reasoning and analytical ability, Basic numeracy and data interpretation. The main exam has questions related to current affairs, History, Geography, Indian Politics, Economic and Social development, and General Science. The interview is conducted to assess a candidate's intelligence, abilities, traits and values.
