For MBA you need to write few entrance exams like CAT, MAT, CMAT, SNAP, XAT, NMAT. All these exams are the qualifying criteria for many top bschools in India. Once you clear these exams you will get a call from the institutes depending on your score. It's good to join some coaching centres like TIME, CAREER FORUM etc. And preferably taking a gap for preparation is not a good option unless you are getting into IIMs. It's always good to have a contingency plan . Work in a company where you think u can have enough time to manage your work as well as preparation for the CAT. Your work experience plays a vital role in the interview .
