What should I do to pursue PhD or M.Phil?
I have scored below 55% marks.

It is not really advisable to pursue an M.Phil degree since the Modi government's decision has been announced to remove M.Phil from the recognition list. It is usually a two-year academic research programme that is often referred to as a double master's. This decision will not affect students currently enrolled in the course said the University Grants Commission (UGC) to relieve the students. Considering this it is not a good idea to go for an M.Phil. Hope it helps. -
You have not shared your UG and PG details without which it will be difficult for anybody to advice you. You are requested to re-frame the question and re-raise it for any expert to answer.
