What should I do to secure my future? I want to be a civil servant (IAS) and I am preparing for the same.

Any civil service aspirant should keep a backup plan in mind. Qualifying in this kind of exams is not certain and after few years of preparation, one finds that other options are not available. So, first and foremost keep some alternative career choices in mind.
