What should I pursue between finance and economics in India on the basis of higher job guarantee?
I want a long answer with description on merits, demerits, scope, job roles, options and salary package.

Economics is in much higher demand than finance. Finally, with an econ degree, you can do anything a finance major can, but the reverse is not at all true. Most jobs an econ major can do you would not be prepared for with a finance degree.

But what will be the result (scope, job roles and salary), if I go with economics? If I not get a chance in the reputed institution, and go to a local college for economics then, will it be helpful?
