Hi,
To become a chef you must have a professional culinary training. To start your career as a chef you must complete your class 10th to join the Diploma course in food craft. In order to opt for a degree course in culinary arts one must complete 10+2 in any stream.
- Some of the institutes offering training are:
* Indian Institute of Hotel Management and Culinary Arts
* International Institute of Hotel Management
* IHM Meerut
* Christ University
* Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration

You need to go to a culinary school which is usually of 3 years in the UK, perhaps 4 years in the USA. The courses start with the first year of learning basic techniques which you pass with an exam.

You should go for culinary chef or any other chef courses offered by hotel management institutions. You can open your own restaurant if you excel in being a chef.
