What should I write in the name of institution in college entrance exam

if I failed 12th as a regular student but passed next year as private candidate. Should I write the name of school where I was a regular student or just write private candidate or both?

    In the case where you cleared the 12th examination as a private candidate, you can mention "Private Candidate" as the name of the school for the year that you have cleared the examination. This is why:

    Your true passing details really matter-the institution has validated the passing at the level of examination, hence any place aside from this is meaningless.

    Transparent: Simply put, it avoids confusion and therefore clears the air.
