What sorts of placements should a mechanical engineer expect studying in LPU?

The university has good connections with the leading companies in core, manufacturing, automobile, design, as well as IT industries. All the big players like Honda, VOLVO, Ashok Leyland, Bosch, Hyundai, and many others have come to the campus for placements. Along with core companies, LPU also offers a chance to sit in placements of multinational IT companies if you possess software and coding skills. The university offers industry-specific training, workshops, internships, and live projects that make the student job-ready. The Career Services assist the students with mock interviews, group discussion, and soft skill development. Most of my seniors received packages ranging from 4 LPA to 10 LPA based on their abilities and company profile. Even some went for higher studies or research with international fellowships. Hi Devanshu, My friend did B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from LPU and I did MBA. He shared placement data of his department which is really commendable. He told me that the maximum package offered for mechanical engineering is Rs. 31 LPA. The main thing for placement that I liked there is that LPU provides placement classes to the students from the first year, which helps students prepare for placement until their final year of the programme. The LPU offers a B Tech in Mechanical Engineering which seamlessly articulates the concepts from basic Science to technology with relevant practice through lab and projects for building the problem-solving skills, keeping industry requirements in place for Design, Manufacturing, Thermal, etc. Specialisation. The Eligibility Criteria is (Qualifying Exam) Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics Mathematics, and English or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPU NEST. For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium. (5% relaxation to North-East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmir Migrants) The course aims at enabling the student to Effectively build and communicate the solutions using learnings from basic mechanical engineering, basic sciences, mathematics, and computational skills and tools. He should have the ability to design using Design of Machine Elements theories and to create prototypes using relevant manufacturing technology. He should acquire the Capability of building efficient energy conversion systems using a basic understanding of Thermodynamics Heat transfer, and Fluid Mechanics.
